Magnolia is close to everything and a trek to anywhere. The Magnolia Bridge, Dravus or Emerson: pick your poison at 4:30 on a Tuesday. So skip the commute entirely. A Fingerprint teacher comes to your house and teaches right there, whether you’re up by the Village or tucked in near Discovery Park.

Lessons that fit the kid you’ve got

We don’t hand every student the same book. Some kids want to play their favorite song by next week. Some want to make things up. Some want to read music properly. We work across five paths: reading music, improvising, chord charts, ear training and songwriting, and we build each lesson around what clicks for your kid. We call it finding their musical fingerprint.

A neighborhood with room to make noise

Magnolia is one of the most family-packed corners of Seattle, and one of the quietest. It’s a good place to have a piano in the living room and a kid who actually wants to sit at it. Our teachers are working Seattle musicians who bring that energy into your house once a week.

If your kid quit lessons before

That’s usually a bad fit, not a lack of talent. The restless kid, the kid who plays by ear, the kid who’d rather write their own song: those are our favorite students.

Do you really come all the way out to Magnolia?

Yes. The booking form checks real drive times, so the times it shows are ones a teacher can actually make.

Do we need a piano?

Not to start. A basic keyboard works, and your teacher will help you figure out what’s worth buying later.

How young can they start?

As young as 3.

How long are lessons?

30, 45, or 60 minutes, weekly.
