David Lux joined Fingerprint in 2022, where he teaches guitar, piano, and ukulele.  He grew up taking classical piano lessons, and got his degree in Jazz Piano Studies from Bowling Green State University in 2012.  Following school, David worked on cruise ships as a Showband Musician and Musical Director.


As David’s passion for music has developed, so has his interest in music technology and home recording.  He’s refurbished a Fender Rhodes Bass, Wurlitzer 200, and is working towards Piano Technician certification.


David finds inspiration in the wide variety of styles and genres offered by musicians past and present available to us at our fingertips.  He seeks to learn more about music, and share what he knows with other curious minds.

Chad Walker joined Fingerprint in 2022, where he teaches guitar, ukulele, piano, trumpet, and music theory.

Growing up in a family with a long musical tradition, Chad started playing guitar around the age of 12. A wide array of musical influences came by way of R&B, Dixieland swing, Rock, Punk and Jazz of the 1950’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. 

Throughout the 1990’s Chad played in various groups, touring throughout the southeast and east coast before moving to Seattle, where he attended Cornish College Of The Arts.

Chad is a passionate performer and music teacher. As a teacher, he emphasizes that learning an instrument is a fun and inspirational experience. Students at any skill level will benefit as he shares both his musical knowledge and life experiences with music.

Owen joined Fingerprint Seattle in 2021, where he teaches Piano, Guitar, Voice, and more. He received formal training in piano from a young age and went on to study classical voice under Bradley Howard of Emory University before studying music at the University of Puget Sound with a guitar focus. He has over a decade of experience performing with and leading instrumental groups, vocal ensembles, and choirs, as well as rock and fusion bands. 

A lifelong music lover, Owen credits one of his early teachers for expanding his approach to learning music and providing him with the necessary tools to learn and create on his own. He hopes to have the same impact on his students in the Seattle area. In his free time (when he isn't cheering on his hometown Atlanta Braves), Owen is a songwriter and amateur home producer, as well as a rock history fanatic, specializing in knowledge about Bob Dylan and The Beatles.

Drew Harper joined Fingerprint in Seattle in 2020. He teaches guitar, bass, piano, and ukulele with over two decades of musical experience. Drew is a long time gigging musician in Seattle, starting semi-professionally in high school performing at street fairs, festivals, and other events, as well as playing in his own bands. Since then Drew has gone on to perform at world-class festivals such as Bumbershoot and Capitol Hill Block Party. 

Drew has been mentored by top-notch musicians coming from diverse musical backgrounds and styles, such as Brazilian pianist and featured soloist in the Paraís Chamber Orchestra, Helena Azevedo, and Seattle’s master of jazz bass, Steve Kim. 

Drew strives to not only teach his students to play an instrument, but to love and appreciate music. He believes this is done best through fostering curiosity and creativity. This means encouraging each individual student to have the freedom and confidence to express themselves and to explore what makes them excited.

Will Lubaroff joined Fingerprint in Kansas City 2019. He is a recent transplant to KC, having grown up and studied in Iowa.

The son of a professional jazz musician, Will grew up around music, beginning piano studies at age 8. He began playing guitar at age 13, learning jazz, blues, rock and acoustic through High School. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Vocal Music Education at the University of Northern Iowa in 2018, and spent a year as a vocal music teacher in Dunkerton, Iowa.

Will loves to learn and write music in his spare time when he is not teaching or bartending on the Country Club Plaza. Will teaches piano, guitar, ukulele, voice, and percussion.

Mark Holt joined Fingerprint in 2019. Mark has been teaching, performing and recording music in the Northwest for 15 years.

Recent focus on solo guitar has led to a variety of performances, video and competitions. In

2017 he was one of 16 chosen nationally for the Guitarslinger event at the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle. He has also performed at Master Classes with Duo Melis from France and Brazillian virtuoso Carlos Barbosa Lima.

His vast background allows for guitar performances that incorporate elements of Classical, Spanish Rock, Pop, Jazz and improvisation. He played keyboards and produced 3 albums with Trick Deck which are available online. A full range of music can be found at WandMusic.com.

with Fingerprint Music in Seattle and enjoys helping others learn and forge their own musical path.



Serving: West Seattle

Mitchell joined Fingerprint in Seattle in 2019, where he teaches guitar, bass, piano and drums. He is a classically trained guitarist and an alumni of Berklee College of Music. In 2009, Mitchell placed 1st in the Washington state solo and ensemble contest. While at Berklee, he studied classical and jazz music theory, as well as guitar performance. He has a passion for teaching all styles of music, and knows how to help students achieve their musical goals.  

He also has a passion for recording and producing all different genres of music. He has a music studio in West Seattle where he records various local artists, along with his original compositions. 



Serving: NE Seattle

Diego joined Fingerprint in Seattle in 2019, where he teaches piano, guitar, and ukulele. He graduated from the University of Washington in psychology and music, and has played with several musical groups over the years. His favorite styles are jazz and pop.


Diego formerly organized a monthly jazz jam in Fremont (pre-Covid), and regularly plays for both live performances and recording projects.

Gianfranco Foddai joined Fingerprint in Seattle in 2018. He first started studying piano at age 8 in his home country of Italy, and has continued to have a deep love of music throughout his life. He studied Piano, Composition, and Music and New Technologies at the Conservatorio di Musica di Sassari, graduating in 2008. During that time, Gianfranco also developed a passion for the guitar and later became interested in rock music, funk and soul, electronic, and European folk music. 


As a professional musician in Italy, Gianfranco worked as a multi-instrumentalist live performer, producer, audio engineer, and music teacher. He moved to Seattle in November of 2017, where he has continued to develop his professional music career.


Gianfranco is currently the keyboardist of J. Anaya & the Current, and plays live with other artists in the Seattle area. He also continues to compose and produce music in his free time, and enjoys making pasta at home.

Scott joined Fingerprint in Seattle in 2017. He is a multi-instrumentalist with over 15 years experience on drum set, piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, and various other percussion instruments. A native of Bremerton, Washington, he was exposed to music since infancy, thus developing a deep familiarity with music from day one. His musical passion led him to Washington State University where he studied percussion.


After a stint in central California, Scott returned to Puget Sound to continue pursuing his career as a teacher and performer. He’s also been an instructor for the Northwest Percussion Festival, a clinician at the Northwest Percussion Project, and a clinician for the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Idaho.
Scott is currently the full time drummer for Seattle-area bands Trick Candles and Purple Mane, and he also performs regularly with various other artists around the Puget Sound.


Serving: Gig Harbor

Cody joined Fingerprint in Seattle in 2016, and moved to Gig Harbor, starting a new teaching practice there, in 2020. He has been playing music nearly all his life. He first began studying the classical guitar at the age of 6 and has been in love with the instrument ever since. He went on to study with recent Grammy winner Jason Vieaux at the Cleveland Institute of Music and graduated in Music Performance. 

Now he regularly performs classical, jazz, rock, and pop music at weddings, parties, events, and music clubs around the Seattle area, including the Ballard Homestead, the Tractor Tavern, and the lobby of the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. He is also an accomplished composer, arranger, and recording artist.

David joined Fingerprint in Seattle in 2015, where he teaches piano, guitar and drums.  He became the GM of Fingerprint in 2022. He has been playing music since age 5 and has played a wide range of styles, including classical, jazz, rock, pop and various world styles.

David received his Bachelor's of Music degree in Percussion Performance and Music Education from the University of Iowa and a Master's of Music in Percussion Performance from the University of Washington.  He currently plays in several musical groups around Seattle.

Michael has been with Fingerprint in Kansas City since 2011, teaching a range of skills including guitar, piano, bass, voice, songwriting, and beginner drums. He comes from a musical family, where from an early age he learned the value of harmony singing, how to unsuccessfully control your laughter when your sibling hits a wrong note, and how the right music score can turn a mediocre movie into an amazing one!


Through his association with Fingerprint, he hopes to help instill in his students a lifelong appreciation and love of music in all its forms. His musical passions include songwriting and composition, listening to and dissecting (obsessing over) albums of all genres, picking up and attempting random instruments, and playing too loud in rock bands.

Jacob Black is the owner and founder of Fingerprint Music School. He started it in Kansas City in 2006, when he started offering piano & guitar lessons out of his basement. He now lives in the Seattle area with his wife & son.

Jacob studied the piano & guitar as a child with private instructors, and later studied music theory and jazz on his own via books (this was before YouTube), plus received lots of real-world education onstage, at jam sessions, and in the studio.
