Kylie Dickinson brings music to life in your living room.

Kylie plays piano, violin, viola, guitar, ukulele, cello, and sings — and she brings that wide-ranging curiosity into every lesson. A graduate of Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music with two degrees earned with distinction in Music Education and Violin Performance, she's taught all ages, from young beginners to adults, and ran her own high school orchestra program.

Kylie's teaching is built around learning each student's personal interests and communication style, then building a path that keeps them genuinely motivated — not just going through the motions.

She's also a songwriter, painter, and costume designer who moonlights as a professional KPOP Demon Hunter.

Whether you want to write your own songs, dive into classical repertoire, or choose from many other pathways, she's your person.

One Teacher, Many Instruments

Your teacher offers lessons on piano, violin, guitar, ukulele, viola, cello, and singing. Want to start with piano and try guitar next month? Learn to play by ear? Write your own songs? Explore different genres? It's all on the table.

Your Musical Fingerprint

Every student learns differently. We find the right approach for your personality and brain — the combination of style, technique, and repertoire that keeps you engaged and progressing. No rigid curriculum. No one-size-fits-all method books.

Fun Is the Point

We measure success by how many students want to keep music in their lives — not by how many go to conservatory. Whether you or your child practices daily or just wants to be inspired once a week, you belong here.

Reading Music Is Optional

Some students want to read sheet music. Others want to play by ear, improvise, or write songs. We follow your lead and build lessons around what actually motivates you — something you won’t find at most NYC music schools.

Kirsten M.,
Fingerprint parent

“The ability to teach music while making it fun and appealing to each child’s individual tastes is what makes Fingerprint such a great choice. They all have a real love of music.”

Diana H.,
Fingerprint parent

“Fingerprint lets them pick the songs they want to learn, so they never get bored. They even let them make up songs, using their imagination while teaching fundamentals.”

Linda S.,
adult Fingerprint
student

“After nearly 40 years, I have discovered the real joy of playing music. I’ve even discovered that I have a creative side and can actually compose a song!”
