ANTHONY HARRINGTON

Serving: Gig Harbor, Port Orchard, Bremerton
 

Anthony Harrington joined Fingerprint in 2023. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Anthony has been providing private and group music lessons since 2016. A multi-instrumentalist, Anthony began playing trombone in the school band at the age of 9, continuing throughout middle and high school, and picking up trumpet and baritone horn along the way. At 14, Anthony began playing in original bands, performing at venues in Oakland, Berkeley, and S.F. 

 

By 2007, he was performing on guitar, bass, and drums for various live acts, as a regular or substitute musician, at clubs, festivals, weddings, and corporate events throughout Northern and Southern California.

 

Familiar with many different styles of music and theory, Anthony focuses on teaching students how to play their favorite songs, and how to write their own!

NATHANYEL NIEVES

Serving: West Seattle
 

Nathanyel Nieves joined Fingerprint in 2022, where he teaches guitar, piano, and ukulele.  He grew up taking piano & guitar lessons, and got his degree from Berklee College of Music Online in 2020.

 

A native of Tacoma, he lived in Los Angeles from 2018-2020 and played lead guitar in the bands Masters of Puppets and Von Helstrum before returning to Puget Sound in 2020.

DAVID LUX

Serving: Queen Anne, Magnolia, Ballard, Fremont
 

David Lux joined Fingerprint in 2022, where he teaches guitar, piano, and ukulele.  He grew up taking classical piano lessons, and got his degree in Jazz Piano Studies from Bowling Green State University in 2012.  Following school, David worked on cruise ships as a Showband Musician and Musical Director.

 

As David’s passion for music has developed, so has his interest in music technology and home recording.  He’s refurbished a Fender Rhodes Bass, Wurlitzer 200, and is working towards Piano Technician certification.

 

David finds inspiration in the wide variety of styles and genres offered by musicians past and present available to us at our fingertips.  He seeks to learn more about music, and share what he knows with other curious minds.

OWEN LADNER

Serving: Queen Anne, Magnolia, Ballard, Fremont

Owen joined Fingerprint in 2021, where he teaches guitar, piano, ukulele, bass, and more. A talented multi-instrumentalist and passionate performer, he brings enthusiasm and joy to all of his students.

DREW HARPER

Serving: Queen Anne, Magnolia, Ballard

Drew Harper joined Fingerprint in Seattle in 2020. He teaches guitar, bass, piano, and ukulele with over two decades of musical experience. Drew is a long time gigging musician in Seattle, starting semi-professionally in high school performing at street fairs, festivals, and other events, as well as playing in his own bands. Since then Drew has gone on to perform at world-class festivals such as Bumbershoot and Capitol Hill Block Party. 

Drew has been mentored by top-notch musicians coming from diverse musical backgrounds and styles, such as Brazilian pianist and featured soloist in the Paraís Chamber Orchestra, Helena Azevedo, and Seattle’s master of jazz bass, Steve Kim. 

Drew strives to not only teach his students to play an instrument, but to love and appreciate music. He believes this is done best through fostering curiosity and creativity. This means encouraging each individual student to have the freedom and confidence to express themselves and to explore what makes them excited.

MARK HOLT

Serving: Queen Anne, Magnolia, Ballard, NE Seattle
 

Mark Holt joined Fingerprint in 2019. Mark has been teaching, performing and recording music in the Northwest for 15 years.

Recent focus on solo guitar has led to a variety of performances, video and competitions. In

2017 he was one of 16 chosen nationally for the Guitarslinger event at the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle. He has also performed at Master Classes with Duo Melis from France and Brazillian virtuoso Carlos Barbosa Lima.

His vast background allows for guitar performances that incorporate elements of Classical, Spanish Rock, Pop, Jazz and improvisation. He played keyboards and produced 3 albums with Trick Deck which are available online. A full range of music can be found at WandMusic.com.

As a guitar and keyboard teacher, he enjoys helping others learn and forge their own musical path.

GIANFRANCO FODDAI

Serving: Queen Anne, Magnolia, Ballard

Gianfranco Foddai joined Fingerprint in Seattle in 2018. He first started studying piano at age 8 in his home country of Italy, and has continued to have a deep love of music throughout his life. He studied Piano, Composition, and Music and New Technologies at the Conservatorio di Musica di Sassari, graduating in 2008. During that time, Gianfranco also developed a passion for the guitar and later became interested in rock music, funk and soul, electronic, and European folk music. 

 

As a professional musician in Italy, Gianfranco worked as a multi-instrumentalist live performer, producer, audio engineer, and music teacher. He moved to Seattle in November of 2017, where he has continued to develop his professional music career.

 

Gianfranco is currently the keyboardist of J. Anaya & the Current, and plays live with other artists in the Seattle area. He also continues to compose and produce music in his free time, and enjoys making pasta at home.

SCOTT LANGDON

Serving: Queen Anne, Magnolia, Ballard

Scott joined Fingerprint in Seattle in 2017. He is a multi-instrumentalist with over 15 years experience on drum set, piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, and various other percussion instruments. A native of Bremerton, Washington, he was exposed to music since infancy, thus developing a deep familiarity with music from day one. His musical passion led him to Washington State University where he studied percussion.

 

After a stint in central California, Scott returned to Puget Sound to continue pursuing his career as a teacher and performer. He’s also been an instructor for the Northwest Percussion Festival, a clinician at the Northwest Percussion Project, and a clinician for the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Idaho.
 
Scott is currently the full time drummer for Seattle-area bands Trick Candles and Purple Mane, and he also performs regularly with various other artists around the Puget Sound.

JOHN CUTHBERT

Serving: Kirkland, Redmond, Kenmore, Lynnwood, Shoreline, South Everett, North Seattle

John Cuthbert joined Fingerprint in 2023. Born in the Seattle area, John has been teaching private music lessons since the start of the pandemic in 2020. 

John grew up studying classical piano, in which he studied under the Suzuki method with Janet Schweiger for over 11 years, performing and competing in Young Artist Music Competition held at the University of Washington from 1998 to 2002.

John returned to piano study in the late 2000s, focusing his efforts on Jazz, popular music, and music theory.

Along with teaching all styles of piano, John teaches the guitar and ukulele. 

DAVID SOLOMON

Serving: Queen Anne, Magnolia, Ballard, NE Seattle

David joined Fingerprint in Seattle in 2015, where he teaches piano, guitar and drums. He became the GM of Fingerprint in 2022. He has been playing music since age 5 and has played a wide range of styles, including classical, jazz, rock, pop and various world styles.

David received his Bachelor's of Music degree in Percussion Performance and Music Education from the University of Iowa and a Master's of Music in Percussion Performance from the University of Washington.  He currently plays in several musical groups around Seattle.

JACOB BLACK

Serving: Vashon Island

Jacob Black is the owner & founder of Fingerprint Music School. He started it in Kansas City in 2006, when he started offering piano & guitar lessons out of his basement. He now lives in the Seattle area with his wife & son.


Jacob studied the piano & guitar as a child with many private instructors, and later studied music theory & jazz on his own via books (this was before YouTube), plus received lots of real-world education onstage, at jam sessions, and in the studio.
